Taaqademy Skill Maps
For all our 1:1 Online Music Classes/Courses, we believe in giving our expert faculty a lot of leeway; this way, they are able to customize lessons to the student's particular requirement, choose different songs/styles, experiment with various teaching methods and so on. The Skill Map, thus, is a crucial tool - it allows us to clearly define the particular requirements at every playing level, while allowing teachers a lot of flexibility.

For Parents/Students: How to Use the Skill Maps

All students are assigned a 'Playing Level' - "Beginner Level 1 (B-1)" or "Intermediate Level 2 (I-2)", etc. An 'age bracket' is also included.

Click on the PDF Icons for the appropriate level, for your instrument.

On the PDF document that opens up, the first page will list all the skill categories covered at that level.

The next page(s) will go into the details of what needs to be mastered under each skill category.

A handy "How Long Will This Take?" reckoner is included at the end - giving you a level completion estimate (based on your practice levels!).
